The Giraffe Shed Wedding
I absolutely loved photographing Katy and Megan’s wedding at The Giraffe Shed https://thegiraffeshed.com
The venue looked incredible, styled by August in Bloom https://augustinbloom.co.uk with the most amazing bold colours. Think gorgeous oranges and vibrant pinks, bringing so much colour and personality to the day. I loved it!
And then there was Bali. Their beautiful dog accompanied them down the aisle, which was just the loveliest thing. I always love seeing the important four-legged members of the family included in a wedding day, and Bali was clearly very much part of the celebrations.
The weather was lush, the food from The Pickled Pumpkin was amazing and the whole day had such a brilliant atmosphere. As the evening got going, Juno That Song kept the party moving and there was plenty of dancing, laughter and fun.
It was one of those weddings that just felt full of personality. Beautiful styling, amazing food by the Pickled Pumpkin https://pickledpumpkincatering.co.uk, great music, sunshine, a gorgeous dog and two lovely people celebrating their marriage with all their favourite people.
WHY I LOVE THE GIRAFFE SHED!
I have to say, I absolutely love The Giraffe Shed.
It is such a brilliant wedding venue and so different from anywhere else I have photographed. Set in the beautiful Welsh countryside, it is a really unique space with so much character. It is a bit industrial, a bit quirky and completely fabulous!
What I love most about The Giraffe Shed is that it really is a blank canvas. You can make it completely your own and create a wedding that feels like you. Whether you want bold colours, amazing flowers, a festival-style celebration, incredible food or a massive party, the possibilities are endless.
And from a photographer’s point of view, there are so many amazing opportunities for photographs. The venue has loads of character, beautiful natural light and the Welsh countryside all around it. There are so many little areas and details to explore, which means every wedding there can look completely different.
I also love how relaxed the whole place feels. It is a venue for couples who want to do things their own way. There are no rules about what your wedding has to look like. You can bring your own ideas, your own style and your own personality to the day.
Katy and Megan’s wedding was the perfect example of this. The bold oranges and pinks, Bali walking down the aisle, amazing food, brilliant music and all the fun of the day made it completely theirs.
I would absolutely love to go back to The Giraffe Shed and photograph another wedding there as soon as possible!
